The Burford Pro Pack Font was doodled while touring around Europe. I found myself drawing characters for two to three hours every day when I was in Amsterdam, motivated by all the amazing typography I saw. I digitalized Burford when I was back in the States and thought it would create a lovely layer-based typeface.
The Burford Pro Pack Font was developed for users of high-end design software, such as Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and so on. All 18 layering fonts—five base layers, three top layers, five bottom layers, and two sets of graphic elements—come in one collection. They are purposefully designed to stack on top of one another, forming a logical and user-friendly layer-based family. There are also Stylistic Alternatives for the letters A, C, E, F, G, H, P, Q, and R included with each font. These can be accessed by selecting the ‘aa’ button on the Opentype Panel (WINDOW – TYPE – OPENTYPE). Webfonts are also included in the Pro bundle.
The Burford Extras set consists of approximately 100 pieces total, all of which are standard keyboard characters. They are made precisely to fit Burford and flawlessly balance its variety of styles. Banners, borders, corners, arrows, line breaks, catchphrases, anchors and much more are included in the set!
Please check out the Burford Basic bundle, which contains all font files that don’t need a layering effect, if you don’t utilise Premiere Design software.
